How do I join?

You can apply online through this site or download the application PDF from this site or return it to

We have a number of different categories of membership, so first check out the details under APLTC membership. There is a waiting list that generally works out to be 2-3 years for senior members and two years for juniors.

How do I access the courts?

When your membership comes through, you will be given a fob that opens up the gates and doors. Fobs are issued to Senior Playing, Temporary and Pensioner Members. Juniors who don’t have access to a parental fob can apply for one of their own. If you lose your fob, there’s a $25 replacement fee. Anyone who lends a fob to a non-member will have it cancelled.

When can I play?

With only two courts and busy coaching, competition and group social schedule, court access is limited. For times when courts are available, go to APLTC Court Availability.

Can I play in a team?

Yes. At present we field a ladies’ mid-week team and a men’s pennant team that plays on Saturdays. Both are keen to recruit new members. If you are interested in joining the ladies, contact APLTC President Peter Davidson on 0409 935 936 and Nick Hinneberg on for the men’s team.

What about coaching?

Our coach Nicole Bruce-Smith, who is a Tennis Australia Qualified Coach, teaches both juniors and seniors in groups and private lesson. You can contact  her on 0403 610 547.

How do I turn on the lights?

You need to buy a token from Bisbas Hardware, 196 Bridport Street. They cost $10 for 30 minutes. For more info on how the lights work, click here.

Can I bring a visitor?

Yes. Visitors are welcome at the APLTC but must be signed in by a club member, either senior or junior. They are only permitted to play twice per month and must pay $10 a visit. For more info, click here.

Can I use the facilities in the clubhouse?

Yes, certainly. And don’t forget about the barbecue, it’s intended for all members’ use. But make sure you leave the clubhouse clean and tidy and take away your rubbish.
